Since surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor was first introduced in the early 1990s, it has proven to be one of the most powerful technologies for determining specificity, affinity, and kinetic parameters during binding of macromolecules in many types of bonds, including protein–protein (Kim et al., 2006), protein–DNA (Majka and Speck, 2006), enzyme–substrate or inhibitor (Fong et al., 2002), receptor drug (Rich et al., 2002), lipid membrane–protein (Erb et al., 2000), protein A highly sensitive surface plasmon resonance-based PCF biosensor is explored in this research work. Outside the fiber frame, active plasmonic material gold (Au) with a thickness of 25 nm has been deposited which is chemically steady and is the primary sensing layer of the presented sensor. The colors exhibited by gold nanoparticles arise from interaction of incident light with the “free” electrons resulting in resonant excitation of an oscillating dipole (surface Plasmon resonance).

Opt. 58, 8416-8422 (2019) In the present scenario, biosensors have increased their detection limit and sensitivity unthinkable until a few years ago. The most widely used biosensors are optical-based devices such as surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based biosensors and fluorescence-based biosensors. The Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) biosensor is a type of biosensor which is very powerful for detecting and determining the specificity, affinity, and kinetic parameters of macromolecular bonds. The working principle of this biosensor uses metals such as gold (Au), silver (Ag), and aluminum (Al) to excite surface plasmon waves which are very sensitive to changes in the refractive index on Mathcad programs demonstrated that only TM waves could be used for surface plasmon resonance on a metal surface in Otto configuration or Kretschman configuration. With Rouard's recursive method to numerically simulate light reflectivity in a multilayered system, we found benchmarks of SPR biosensors, and got linear relationships about the shift of the SPR angle to the surface concentration of biological films. Summary. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensors belong to label-free optical biosensing technologies.

IV The interaction between miRNA with AuNR-ssDNA results in release of the AuNR-ssDNA from the antimonene nanosheets. The reduction in the molecular of the AuNR-ssDNA on the SPR surface makes for a significant decrease of the SPR angle. [1] Xue, T. et al.
